Bred into the market
Handed false incentives
Force fed
Cheap commodities
And told
No one can live without them
You can't succeed
Without what they sell
Personality becomes nothing
When culture's a prison cell
Competition drives us to suicide
Children pacified by the same lies
We possess the ability to end it
Instead we glare at our unfulfilled lives
Why?
Consumerism is terrorism
From birth we are given the ultimatum, participate in capitalism or starve. Our entire lives are spent becoming familiarized with the market, the products, and we we are taught that consumption is the basic function to life.
It’s all done so that the consumer never feels happy with who they are or what they have. Every oppressive institution in America is fueled by capitalism, if there is an audience for it then it can exist, no matter how immoral it may be.
Competition may be what some call "choices" for the consumer, when in reality competition only widens the gap between social classes by forcing those that can't keep up to fade into poverty.
“Consumerism Is Terrorism” means that we are told our everyday lives aren’t good enough, that we need to continuously create and buy more. No matter what effects it has on the individual and the planet. Everyday we are overran with advertisements reminding us of our shortcomings and filling our heads with false aspirations, fooling us into thinking that material items can make our lives better. This is the act of terrorism, coming into our homes and telling us that our life is not complete without buying into what is continuously sold.

There is no justification when people cling to racism. Our silence must no longer act as consent. Dehumanizing, vilifying, smearing, underlying causes to justify hate crimes.
Kill straighten your blurred lines, forced out the truth dies with the outspoken cries.
No answer to oppression, drawing nearer the dawn of extinction.
Right to well being is all encompassing.
Abolish hate, achieve equality.
Abolish hate.
Achieve equality.
I would like to preface this by stating that we are all born with the ineffable right to well-being. While every life matters that is not what the subject at hand is or will be. Black lives matter, this needs to be stated because, at this moment they still do not. “Black Lives Matter” must and will be impressed upon every rational being upon the planet.
From the moment we heard about the unjustified killing of Mike Brown in Ferguson and sub sequential killings of other people of color by racist, profiling pieces of shit in the “Justice” Department, we collectively decided that we were going to take action in solidarity with Ferguson and other activists by using our voices to speak out against the institutionalized racism practiced by law enforcement officers, not only in Missouri, but across the entire country.
Police are afforded ultimate privilege, courtesy of the state and our tax dollars. “Comply or Die” seems to be the way cops are taking their interactions with civilians, especially if you’re of color. With guns bolstered and superiority complexes in tow they justify their escalations of violence as if they’re peace officers from Dodge City. This isn’t the 18th century and they're not Wyatt Earp.
Why continue to trust civil servants that are trained from day one to be uncompassionate and untrusting? These people are not the staunch defenders of peace they would have you believe; you’re a number, more money for the state: they are trained to extort, abuse, incriminate and incarcerate you.
These are capricious murderers that will harm or kill you based on skin color or body language out of “fear.”
“Fear.”
Who’s the most fearful? Who has the most reason to be untrusting?
“There is no justification when people cling to racism. Our silence must no longer act as consent.” Will wrote these words well after we had finalized the lyrics for Don’t Shoot, however, how necessary an addition they were is enraging and disgusting. We live in an age of faux equality. Every time you divert or victim blame you are furthering racism. We’re done. We will abolish this hatred by demolishing capitalism and patriarchy, the very systems that manufactured and reinforce it.
Black Lives Matter. No Justice, No Peace.
